Hi, decided to jump in because I remember this being hosted by Aeria many years ago.

Trying to make a character, but it says something about a safety PIN. Im assuming I have to enter it in, but I have no idea how.

A solution to this plus any advice to playing will be much appreciated

I play Destiny2 to have fun with my friends, that's what it all comes down to, just to have fun with friends and have fun with the game, with improvements found here https://truecost.gg/d2 . This game is much more fun with friends with whom you can talk and laugh. Trying to do this can still be fun on its own, but nowhere near as enjoyable as having friends. It's not so much fun exploring a new world on your own.
